How should I sleep after a Hip replacement ? Will sleeping on my back help?

Recommend length of supine sleep post-surgery: at least six weeks

Some operations are more painful than others: hip replacement is one of them.
Sleep deprivation is usually caused by post-operatory pain.

Therefore, finding a more comfortable and easy-to-maintain sleeping position is critical for healing when undergoing hip replacement surgery.

Back sleeping is recommended after the hip replacement to minimise pain and avoid dislocation. If lying on your back is not your more comfortable or usual sleeping posture, you will find HARMONISE and STABILISE to be two excellent helpers in maintaining your supine posture during the night. Also, ALIGN placed between your knees, but not under your knees, can ensure extra support.
